Chrome wont load pages, safari wont even open

Sony laptop running windows 7, Norton Internet Security 2011, google chrome, firefox and safari are all the browsers I use at any given time.
First symptom, pc blacked out - lights on but no screen image rebooted using power button, pc rebooted got BSOD (crash dump??) then restarted BSOD again, pc restarted, loaded windows, now chrome opens but won't even load the starter homepage located on my HD, safari won't even open at all. am using firefox as only browser that seems to work. NIS pops up 'a recent attack blocked' when I view details it tells me: an intrusion attempt from lkaturl11.com and 86B6B96B.com was blocked and this happens every other minute or so. I tried to uninstall chrome thru add/remove but nothing happened at all and when I clicked on it again it said please wait for running program to finish but nothing was there. log files from hijack this
