Cleaned history, but its still there in the registry!

    I ran ccleaner, and thought that it would've deleted all the junk. However, today i accidently found out that the history is still there in the registry. I ran 'regedit' and went here:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\P3P\History\

    and here

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains


    A lot of websites names are there in folders. Why is this? I don't even use IE, but the registry is still collecting history. How do i remove this and then prevent it from happening again? Also, almost exact same folders are found in HKEY_USER and DEFAULT_USER.

    Those are valid registry entries and CCleaner does not clean registry location unless you run the Issues tab which we do not recommend anyway. Also it would not do anything with these since they are not issues.
