Cleaning a keyboard...........

What is the best way to clean a dirty and sticking keyboard? You know, the general stuff..........breadcrumbs, jelly, crackers etc. Thanks

hehe...that's a good question!

I use an old toothbrush combined with some 'spray n wipe' (with a dry dishcloth).

Carefully unplug it, consign it to the trash can, plug in new one.

They aren't expensive

If it dosen't have any LED's then you can allways put it in the dishwaher! Place it upside down on the top try, and make sure you give it enought time to dry out before re-using it.

But, that probably won't be much good to you as near enough all keyboards are using LED's.

 

I agree with Scouse...look at BigLots...they have cheap kb's and mice all the time...unless you are begging for several hours of frustration. Good night and good luck. By the way, I use a good, old-fashioned ps2 kb & mouse because they are handy in a recovery situation, sometimes (useable from DOS with no special drivers or anything).

 

Do NOT throw away your socks because they are dirty. I mean, at least socks rot after awhile, but garbage mountains of filty keyboards? .... geeesh
