cleaning a scanner

    do u need anything specific to clean the glass of a scanner?

    i would just use some windex, and some type of paper towel (non-abrasive). then, i'd wipe it off with some type of lint-free cloth. - sos

    I'd probably use what is suggested for monitors: distilled water and a little rubbing alcohol. Paper towels can scratch so I avoid them. I'd either use something like an old, well washed scrap from a t-shirt that doesn't leave lint or a microfiber cloth, like the ones used to clean eyeglasses.
