I scanned with SAS, even though I selected to save a log none was saved. I included MG and MBAM logs. I followed the cleaning procedure steps.

This application tries to run when Windows(Vista) starts.
This pops up in AVG when I start Firefox.
This is the error message when I try to open Google Chrome.

    This webpage is not available.

The webpage at http://www.google.com/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

    More information on this error

Safari and Explorer won't run either.

Please let me know if there is something else I can do to somehow save a SAS log. Or if there is any information I left off that's needed.

    Hello & welcome.

    1. Your copy of MalwareBytes needs updating, please open up the program, locate the update tab > let it update > re-scan > fix all it finds > and attach the log it creates into your next reply.

    2. Please go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall the following software:
    • Java(TM) 6 Update 18

    3. Are you set up to use the following proxy? If not then please include it in our fixables below:
    4. Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):
Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    After clicking Fix exit HJT.

    5. Download and run OTM.

Download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.

    • Right-click OTM.exe And select " Run as administrator " to run it.
    • Paste the following code under the [IMG] area. Do not include the word Code.

    Code:
    :Files
    C:\Users\reggiehiller\AppData\Local\ljqyxlvnr\ejxudlktssd.exe
    C:\Users\reggiehiller\AppData\Local\ljqyxlvnr

    :Reg
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
    "ydjevxgm"=-

    :Commands
    [emptytemp]
    [Reboot]
    • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
    • Push the large [IMG] button.
    • OTM may ask to reboot the machine. Please do so if asked.
    • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar), and paste it in your next reply.

NOTE: If you are unable to copy/paste from this window (as will be the case if the machine was rebooted), open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and copy/paste the contents of that document back here in your next post.

    6. Also delete all files in the below bold folder except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).
    7. Now reboot your machine and install the most current and up to date version of Java available here at the below link:

    Java Runtime 6

    8. Run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this and also the log from OTM and the new log from MBAM. Let me know how your machine is behaving now.

I forgot to mention that earlier I was unable to update MBAM or SAS. I ended up downloading a newer version of MBAM and it allowed me to update, then I did as you instructed. This line did not show up in HijackThis, so I only fixed the R1 line.
    OTM
I figured out what I did wrong before with SAS, and was able to update it. I ran it after MBAM and added the log in with the others. So far the system is noticeably better. The other browsers are now working and I haven't noticed any of the before incidents.

This is my father's laptop, he is very grateful to me and I have you to thank. Without this forum I might have had to reformat his pc! One thing I noticed while looking at the Processes on Task Manager, there are a few of them. I'd like to remove GoogleCrashHandler.exe*32 - Google Installer, for example.

You can discuss this in the software forum as we only have time to deal with actual malware removal here. You are very welcome for the help. :) Your logs look good now, so you can follow final steps below:

Please double-click OTL.exe to run it.
Click on the CleanUp! button at upper Right corner. When you do this a text file named cleanup.txt will be downloaded from the internet. If you get a warning from your firewall or other security programs regarding OTL attempting to contact the internet you should allow it to do so. After the list has been download you'll be asked if you want to Begin cleanup process? Select Yes.
This step removes the files, folders, and shortcuts created by the tools I had you download and run.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we used Pocket Killbox during your cleanup, do the below
      • Run Pocket Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups
    3. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    6. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    7. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    8. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 6 of the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

I ran OTM.exe as I think you meant that. AVG is still detecting the yieldmanager tracking cookie when I start Firefox. I attached my most current HijackThis log.

AVG should not be making such a meal out of cookies! I have not known it to exhibit this type of behaviour before. Read here for information about cookies:
