I would like to know if there is a way to clear an administrator password on the recovery partition of a disk. This computer was not new and therefore the password must have been set by the original owner. I have tried my system password and the admin default password and nothing lets me in.

Running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and it is an HP Pavilion a1312n computer.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Can someone also tell me where I can find out what is contained on the recovery partition?

    Thanks.
