    Dell Dimension 5100
    2.8G P4 with 2g Ram WindowsXP home SP3

It has a WD 80g SATA, I want to (clone/copy/ghost?) to a new WD 250g SATA hd. and run that as the primary drive. I have power and data cables for both HD's. How may I accomplish this?

I thought Western might have a free tool to do this but since I don't know the exact model of the 80GB SATA drive, I wasn't able to search.

If you go the paid software route, I recommend Acronis True Image 2009.

    The 80g is a WD800
    The 250 is a WD2500AAJB

I have the WD Lifeguard tools, I am just concerned about the "Dell Factor" They might have a trick or problem to avoid. like which drive hooks to which port (00 or 01) and Dells website is slow and confusing.
