I have something called clspring. Everrytime I run a virus scan it comes up. Furthermore it keeps reinstalling itself. It appears to connect to something called www.outerinfo.com. Popups usualy say http://c5.zedo.com. It has all but stopped my computer. How do i get rid of it for good? HiJack this log below.

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Please do not post any logs inline with messages!

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
      • Bitdefender
      • Panda Scan
      • HijackThis

OK, I've read Read Me First and have followed it step by step. Here is what happened:
Ccleaner - found and cleaned a lot of stuff
Microsoft Malicious Software Tool - Did a Full Scan; found nothing.
    Spybot - found nothing
    Defender - found nothing.
    AD-Aware - found nothing.
    Shredder - found nothing.

Could not download Java 5.Update6. Some sort of error with Windows Installer.

Ran bitdefender in safe mode. Bdscan file is attached.

Could not download and run PandaActiveScan - firewall would not let me -possibly missing components.
Ran HiJack This. Log file is attached.

Symptoms are still the same. EZ antivirus shows an infection at start up. Still get popups. System is very slow. Sometimes computer will not start at all except in safe mode. When this happens I run virus scan then delete all files in Local Settings. Usually requires repeated restarts but eventually it gets up and running and will connect to the internet.

You skipped an item from step 0 of the READ & RUN ME. Uninstall the below:
    Viewpoint Manager

You have multiple LOP infections and and another trojan.

Make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).

Please run HijackThis and click on the Open the Misc Tools Section button on the open page. Then select Open process manager on the left-hand side. Look for the following process (or processes) and one at a time kill them by selecting it and then click Kill process. Then click yes.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\d?xplore.exe

After killing all the above processes, click Back.
Then please click Scan and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://ujivghmqmudvaqaxmkmuktiv.com/7iBpwFNqo28Hb5qSSP/Ysm7WkeT7gLN5N8ARLNv/OQKuhTFJe6VlgHqJstRGU1jp.htm
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = http://localhost
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {56547834-B7D5-905F-A51E-EC1C8491EC9C} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\belra.dll (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {BE500D35-3966-26BA-DEEA-D8982169E15D} - C:\DOCUME~1\Caitlin\APPLIC~1\HELPSE~1\proxy owns.exe (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {E593F893-A4B8-22E2-88D3-C37EE5BC7991} - C:\PROGRA~1\HELPSE~1\proxy owns.exe (file missing)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SendByteBatOkay] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Baitfoursendbyte\MESS PROGRAM.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [rect acid live obj] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\for sixth rect acid\DEAFAIM.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [64 MAIL] C:\DOCUME~1\Caitlin\APPLIC~1\HECKDA~1\PureForInside.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Jcds] C:\WINDOWS\system32\d?xplore.exe

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Boot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Caitlin\Application Data\HELPSE~1 <--- the whole folder
    C:\Documents and Settings\Caitlin\Application Data\HECKDA~1 <--- the whole folder
    C:\Program Files\HELPSE~1 <--- the whole folder
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Baitfoursendbyte <--- the whole folder
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\for sixth rect acid <--- the whole folder
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\belra.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\d?xplore.exe

If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. If it is, uncheck it and try again. Other wise open Task Manager and kill the process if running then delete the file.

Now if running Win XP goto c:\windows\Prefetch and delete all files in this folder.
Now run Ccleaner (installed while running the READ ME FIRST).
Now we need to Reset Web Settings:
    1. If you have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, goto step 2. If not, skip to step 3.
    2. Now right click on your desktop Internet Explorer icon and select Properties. Then click the Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK. Then skip step 3.
    3. If you do not have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, click Start, Control Panel (for some systems it may be Start, Settings, Control Panel), Internet Options, Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK.
Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log.

SInce you had so many LOP infections and could not run Panda, I would like you to run the below:

    Running Ewido Anti-Malware

Then attach the Ewido log to your next message too. You can uninstall Ewido after getting this log.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now.

Reminder Note: Once we have determined you are malware free you will need to disable System Restore, reboot, and re-enable system restore per step 1 of the READ & RUN ME. This only applies to if using WinXP or WinMe.

Uninstalled viewpoint from the control panel. Deleted the files and folders that you told me too. Did not find: HELPSE~1, HECKDA~1 in Application Data.
I did find: heck data bib, Help, help settings, but I did not delete them.

In Program Files I did not find HELPSE~1.
In All Users/Application Data I did not find Baitfoursendbyte.
In System 32 I did not find, belra.dll, or d?xplore.exe.

I ran ewido in Normal Mode. It found and deleted 8 objects.

Ewido and HJT logfiles are attached.

Computer is working better now. Log-on to the net is faster.

Delete all of those. The shortened names with the ~1 are just abbreviations for long filenames, and it was all you log was showing. Thus it was all I could give you. What you saw was the real full names of the folders.

Your log is clean. If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to go back to step 1 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points. Then reboot and enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

After that, you should work thru the below link:
