cmicnfg.cpl error... help

    ok so i uninstalled the drivers for my onboard sound. and installed a soundblaster card. but i get this error. i know it has to do with the first sound drivers. any soulutions to get rid of it.

    Boot into Safe Mode go to the device manager and delete the sound card(s) from there. Reboot and allow Windows to redetect the new card, then load the drivers for it.

    You could also try doing this.

    Open windows explorer/windows/system32. Find the cmicnfg.cpl file & see if you can move it to the desktop.

    Reboot. If it is OK delete the file. (cpl files are what show up as shortcuts in the control panel)
