Code 32 Lost DVD/CD

    We ran clean up on two PC SUPERAntiSpyware is one we ran on both,we lost cd/dvd/ On both Computers, They came back on my PC but not wife's. They don't show up in my computer , one shows up in Device manager. I have changed ribin,checked power,enabled dma. I think that is right. She is running Vista 64 bit. They were working fine before running this clean up. I tried different cd/dvd's. Any Ideas Thanks In Advance

    Okay, just need to ge some more info from you:

    1. Do the drives show up in "my computer"?

    2. If you open device manager (right click on my computer, manage, device manager in the left list) are there any ?s or !s anywhere?

    3. In device manager, expand the DVD/CD-ROM area and double click on the drive. Is there an error code in the lower portion of the device properties?

    4. Are you sure that one device on the IDE ribbon is configured as a master and the other one is a slave?
