Combofix/HIDEC.exe error msg

    Hi,
    Used your XP cleaning proceedure. I experenced a mup.sys error that totally crashed my OS. Finally sorted that out and finished the process successfully. But now I keep getting an error msg, "Cannot find Combofix/HIDEC.exe error at every bootup and about every 2 hrs. I have uninstalled CF and shredded all remnants. How do I eliminate this error msg/?

    You need to finish the instructions and attach the logs that you can get:
    SAS
    MBAM
    C:\MGLogs.zip

    Hi. I had posted those on an old thread that I quit after the proceedure. Figured noone was watching it anymore after I finished it and the problems stopped. BTW I did't get thru the MGT stage as it was what created the "mup" error. And laptop is working ok now except for this annoying popup. I cannot re-upload those log attachments on this thread. This site's uploader says they are already uploaded to the old thread:by mannshands, "help with XP cleaning". Should I go back to that old thread? FYI Frankly i don't wanna run CF or MGT again due to the potential harm of these strong tools i don't really understand well, but I have grown fond of MBAM and SAS. Those are coming up clean as I use them daily. THX

    MGTools does no cleaning.,..it only gathers info. I have no idea where you posted those logs, but if it was a while ago...then you need to at least get me a new MGLogs.zip. To do that, run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    * C:\MGlogs.zip

    Otherwise I can not help you.
