compaq 2100 series wont boot

    I seem to have had a problem that has now led to the system not booting ...had some kind of virus that hi jacked the pointer and continued to slow the system.
    I have ran Norton systems works and registry mechanic prior to the no boot..to no avail...I need SERIOUS help. there are one of a kind files that I CANNOT lose...thanks in advance

    and it now seems that I'm having issues on the desk top as well

    If you cannot boot your PC, it is really not an issue for the malware forum. So do you really mean your PC cannot boot up. Is this also true if you try to boot in safe mode.


    Also I'm not sure what you mean by "hijacked the pointer". Do you mean the mouse cursor/pointer?

    If you have two PCs with problems you need to work each one in a different thread.

    If you have malware problems you need to run the below, but obvsiously if you cannot boot up you cannot run the below and that would mean you need to goto the Software Forum for help:
