compaq presario cq60-419wm vista problem slow startup using wd 2 tb my passpor

    Hello all been awhile since Ive posted.... I have a problem with a compaq presario cq60-419wm, running vista. The problem is with startup using an external USB western digital 2 tb my passport. The computer hangs at startup when the external usb hdd is plugged in. Am I missing something? I tried to rearrange boot order in bios..no help....usb hdd must be unplugged until computer loads windows.. Thanks for any help....kjhabit
