Compaq V2000 repair

    Have a Compaq V2000 laptop with inverter issues.

    Installed a new backlight to err on the side of caution, and replaced the inverter. After it was all buttoned back up, it will work fine for ten or fifteen minutes, and then the inverter will go out on overload, whining all the way.

    Anyone know where I can get an inverter that is GUARANTEED to not only work, but deal with the wattage requirements and WORK?

    I'm really not interested in sending back anymore parts in the mail...
