Compare Firewalls

    Which one is the best firewall, Sygate Personal Firewall 5.6 build 2808 or ZoneAlarm 5.5.062.011? Have had problems with Sygate activates smc.exe application error. Using Sygate Pro Beta at the moment and the 30 day testing period is running out will have to buy it after that. Help!!!

    Personally, I would choose neither and go either with McAfee or Blackice as I've had problems with Zone Alarm before and people have told me the Sygate is just as useless.

    Never used Sygate, but Zonealarm has stopped some bad guys in their tracks for me. No problems with Zonealarm being disabled in many months. There was a time when it had big backdoor problems.
