Complete lockup on resizing window

Hey, been having this problem for a while now, if i resize a window somtimes the whole system COMPLETLEY freezes up, as in totally gone need to restart. often while playing music, which is most alarming. Or Kazaa...
I suspect it to be video related
Okay, some specs:
Creative 3DBlaster 4 (GeForce 4 Ti4200 64MB) with Omega drivers (had same problem with nvida ones too)
Soundblaster Live! player /w funnydrivers (not the drivers there either)
128MB ram, PC133 SDRAM
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
Pcchips mobo

Running Windows XP SP1 Home.

Any ideas as to what might be going ary?

also is 54 a healthy half idling temperature???? it doesnt sound like it....

This may be a hardware question, but i dont think it is...thus the software forum

 

try reducing the video acceleration and see if it happens.

 

i have a feeling this is going to take a long time to work out, since this only happens once every day.........

oh well, now just to sit back and wait...

 

no go. still having problems.
my card is not overclocked nor is anything in my system, appart from maybe my sound card because of those drivers. anyway.

maybe my ram?
