Computer boots into safe mode?

When I turned my computer on today it booted into safe mode. Rebooted samething over and over. How do I get it to boot into normal mode. thanks in advance.

 

Have you checked for spyware/virus/trojans? Check your Device Manager to see if you have any problems showing there. I had a similar problem when I installed InCD 4.0 with my new DVD Burner. Have you recently installed any new programs? Does it go straight to safe-mode or do you get an option?

Hold down the CTRL(control) key while booting and it should give you a list of boot options, choose Normal and see what happens.

Have you been playing around with msconfig?

Do you have XP?

In addition to others:
Have you changed/upgraded any hardware components prior to the problem?
if no,
Have you installed any programs prior to shutting down the system last time?

Also, what happens when you try to boot in normal mode? Errors? If yes, what ?
If no errors, does it freeze?, does the screen go black? etc.

...need more info or the fishing will continue.

 

Sorry for being dumb. It looked like safe mode , but what happened was my Display Properties Settings got changed. It made my desktop icons large and had the black border like safe mode. It happened after I ran cyberscrub. I've used cyberscrub for a couple of years and it never happened before. Thanks for the help and advice.
