For over 6 months now, I've been having problems with my computer. The problem is a bit difficult to describe due to its weird nature. What has been happening is that windows has been randomly crashing (black screen) or freezing, especailly after first booting up the computer, currently it has been happening 1-2 times everyday when I bootup my computer for the day. After a forced shutdown and reboot 2 times (after crashing), windows seems to work perfectly thereafter, usually for the rest of the day. This has been happening even after reformmating my hard drive and reinstalling windows, which I did 2 weeks ago. Before the reformat, every couple months windows would crash at different times, especailly depending on the version of video card driver I had been using, after installing a certain video card driver everything would run fine, then a few days later it would start crashing again, but at different intervals. Using one video card driver would make windows crash, say once every hour, another making windows crash only during bootup, another freezing windows every hour, etc. I constantly tried using different versions of the same device driver, and even using windows without device drivers, and each time ive been getting crashes or freezes. I went as far as using unqualified drivers or modified ones, and still expoeriancing problems. After a few months I had enough with my computer toying with me around andI had it, so I went on to reformat my HD and reinstall windows XP, and still it crashed, I never even installed any device drivers,I even uninstalled directX 9.0C, running windows without it or video drivers. Its funny becuase for a while windows seems to run perfectly say for a weekor so, and then for the next 2 it crashes. Sorry for the difficult explanation, but its hard to describe,Ihope you know what I mean. Im suspecting a faulty or damaged Video card, im at the verge of a breakdown, its driving me nuts. I requested help a while ago on this very forum, but didnt solve the problem.

    thnks for your help
