    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Please follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:
    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual update Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only RogueKiller and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run the rest of the READ & RUN ME FIRST instructions on the infected account.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

Re: Computer extremely slow problems, problems arise before rogue killer fully initia

Sorry for apparently not following guild lines, I originally posted this was in the self introduction page because I couldn't finish the READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide. Thank you for your prompt response on that!

The malwarebytes report was done after I had already ran it the first time (without manually updating it). I still have the log from the original scan, please tell me if you would like me to upload it somewhere else so you could have a look...

Re: Computer extremely slow problems, problems arise before rogue killer fully initia

Your logs are from safe boot mode. You were supposed to run the scans in normal bootmode. Safe boot mode should only be used when a PC cannot boot any other way and you did not say that you had a problem booting up normally. We will get started with the current logs but from now on, everything should be run in normal boot mode.

Do you know what the below is? It is in your Hitman Pro log.
    Code:

    :Commands
    [purity]
    [EmptyTemp]
    [start explorer]

    [Reboot]
    • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar
      ) and choose Paste.
    • Now click the large [IMG] button.
    • If OTM asks to reboot your computer, allow it to do so. The report should appear in Notepad after the reboot.
    • Close OTM.
Now navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder ( assuming your Windows drive is C). This is where your log will be
saved in the form of Date and Time mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log. Just look for the most recent .log file. Attach
this log file to your next message.

Now please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Note: That JRT may reset your home page to a google default so you will need to restore your home page setting if this happens.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.
Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7 or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles log
    • the JRT.TXT log
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

I have no idea what the log from hitman pro is...
I did everything in safe mode because while I was trying to run rougekiller and my computer's freeze-everything-except-the-mouse kicked in and I had to hard restarted it... happened a few times, so I gave up and ran it in safe mode...

    The logs as requested!

The initial problems persisted during the operation of Junkware Removal Tool, JRT practically froze (absolutely no progress in half an hour) and I hard restarted my computer...

I was not asking you what Hitman Pro is. I'm asking you if you know what that file/folder is in your Downloads folder reported by Hitman Pro. The below is what I'm questioning:

    C:\Users\Anca\Documents\Downloads\znv\znv.dll

You did not run C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat as requested. You ran MGtools.exe
Please see my last instructions and run GetLogs.bat Then attach the new MGlogs.zip file that is created.

Okay there are still some leftovers from Baridu that we are trying to remove since you already had AVG installed and therefor you should not have another antivirus program installed.

So let's try to get rid of the rest of Baidu.

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win 7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O23 - Service: BaiduHips - ????????(??)???? - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Baidu\BaiduHips\1.1.0.722\BaiduHips.exe
    O23 - Service: BDMiniDlUpdate - Unknown owner - c:\users\anca\appdata\roaming\baidu\baidurjdownloader\1.3.0.5\BDMiniDlUpdate.exe (file missing)
    O23 - Service: BDMRTP Service (BDMRTP) - ????????(??)???? - C:\Program Files (x86)\Baidu\BaiduAn\3.0.2.3\BaiduAnSvc.exe
    O23 - Service: BDSGRTP Service (BDSGRTP) - ????????(??)???? - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Baidu\BaiduProtect1.3\1.3.0.619\BaiduProtect.exe

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Please download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.
    • Run OTM.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7 or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

      ) and choose Paste.

Just in case OTM did not automatically reboot your PC, make sure that you have rebooted here before continuing with the below.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7 or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles log
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

The files and services from Baidu are not cleaning up. DO you see anything from Baidu installed on your PC? If yes, please uninstall it now. Also I have a feeling that AVG could be getting in our way and could have been conflicting with Baidu and causing problems. Therefore I want you to uninstall AVG for now too so that we can try to get things cleaned up without having interference from the protection programs.

After uninstalling AVG and Baidu ( if you see Baidu ) please run the below.

    Please download OTL by OldTimer.
    • Save it to your desktop.
    • Double-click on the OTL icon on your desktopto run it. (Note: if using Vista, Win7 or Win8 use right-click and select Run as Administrator)
    • Check the "Scan All Users" checkbox.
    • Check the "Standard Output".
    • Change the setting of "Drivers" and "Services" to "All"
    • Copy the text in the code box below and paste it into the [IMG] text-field.
      Code:
      activex
      netsvcs
      drives

    • Now click the [IMG] button.
    • One report will be created:
      • OTL.txt <-- Will be opened
    • Attach OTL.txt to your next message. (How to attach)
