Computer is very sluggish AFTER reformat

    Hi. I had to reformat/reinstall XP. my computer was not slow before the reformat process. but now, it is very slow and sluggish. especially when i am scrolling through text and things like that. i tried to reformat/reinstall XP again, but it is still sluggish

    and hints, because i'm really stuck here

    this may be silly but did u install your graphic card drivers???

    well, my XP reinstallation disk should do that kind of thing for me...
    but i'll check it out. thanks for the tip

    Dead on.

    Update your graphics drivers.

    XP has a hardware accelerated GUI.

    nah man you only get a basic windows based drivers and you need to insstall your own graphic card drivers
    To find out what graphic card you have simply go to control panel
    then into system then go to the hardware bar and then go to device menager
    in divice menager under display adapters you will se your graphic card
