computer keeps loging off

    i have a gateway, was on ebay and it loged off by it self. i hit the button to turn it on and it would come on breifly and go off. so i let it cool and it come on by itself. now after a while on it will go to loging off and turn off. is it a bug? thanks in advance.

    Hi

    Could be a number of things from your explaination and a few thoughts below.

    What model Gateway PC is this, model and version please as well as what Windows version and Service Pack are you using?


    1. Temp and you mention "let it cool" is to make sure its fully clean inside, that all the fans and CPU heatsink is free from dust as well as any air vents,
    2. Boot into Safe Mode (F8 at boot) and choose Safe Mode with networking and see if surfing causes you any issues?
    3. What Browser you using? if IE try Firefox, if Firefox try IE or Opera, do they have the same issue?
    4. Update your Adobe Flash and Sun Java and the below will help with this.
