computer majorly screwed

    ok, heres the dealio.

    problem 1) My computer won't turn on unless its in safe mode
    problem 2) every time i run a non-windows .exe, another one with the same name is created, making a CMD window come up with "dl.exe" as the title, and it always has a error message with it
    problem 3) I REFORMATTED MY COMPUTER AND IT DIDN'T GO AWAY. granted it coulda hitched a ride on my external.

    i ran every file in the readme.

    the logs are attached.

    oh ya, running windows Xp Pro SP2
    ...AND it disabled msconfig...

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    I suggest you post in the Software or possibly Hardware Forum because you do not appear to be having malware problems. If you formatted and reinstalled and still have the same issues BEFORE installing any other software and before connect your external drive, then you need to check for hardware/driver issues.
