Computer performance degraded

I'm running Win98, and my computer freezes/crashes much more than it used to. I've defragged, run Norton Utilities, so I'm looking for some other ideas. At one point, I played with my memory settings, so perhaps that has something to do with it. Have also dealt with some trojans (CWShredder worked!) so that may be part of it too.

    Thanks!

Check to make sure your virtual memory is the same size or double the amount of RAM you have.

Hmm, ok..i had it set so that Windows would automatically manage it.

I have 128mb of ram, and was advised to set both min/max at 600. Good advice, or change it to match the 13475mb i show free?

    Thanks!

Hi, I would let windows manage the virtual mem.

If your system resourses are getting to low that will cause it to freeze
