I used to be able to connect my Lava phone (Lava Pixel 2) to my WinXP desktop and transfer files etc. Something changed and now when I connect my phone my system does not recognize the USB connection. Any suggestions?
I never got any drivers with this phone.

Assuming you have more than one USB port on that system, have you tried each one of them?
Have you checked that any other USB device works when plugged in?
What is the full and exact brand name and model of your computer?

Yes I have tried multiple ports, all with the same result.
    All other USB devices work.
This is a home-brew computer using an A-Open motherboard.

    This is a driver issue.
WinXP recognizes the Pixel (phone) but puts a yellow exclamation mark next to it in devices.
All attempts so far to install various Lava phone drivers have failed.
