considering purchasing registry mechanic

if registry mechanic the better registry program out there? seems like it is. would consider purchasing it unless you all recommend another one?

good program, was a little afraid of it, it found over 700 errors, were other programs found none, (norton systemworks 2005,regclean,etc), if I don't have any problems, It will become my cleaner of choice. again good program.

 

I've been looking for this too. Both CCleaner and Spybot have registry cleaning features. Does anyone know how these 2 compare with RegSeeker?

 

I don't think CCleaner or Spybot have registry cleaners. Could you tell me how to use them.

 

Yukon, in ccleaner there's a tab for "issues" which can be run to check for some registry problems, and in Spybot if you click on "tools" and then "system internals" it too checks for some registry problems. I was just wondering how these compare with regseeker, and easycleaner too, since it is being featured in MG.

I'm still not sure what's safe to "fix" when I run these programs and wish there were a program that automatically knew what was safe to fix for me.

 

Thanks for the info. You can delete everything RegSeeker finds. Be sure to check the backup box. I've always deleted everything and never had a problem.

 

I just bought Registry Mechanic - was impressed with the trial copy. Only a few days experience but on first occasion of use it found 105 problems that Reg Seeker and Reg cleaner did not. It works very quickly and saves backups and in addition can be configured to create a restore point before each occasion of use. My view is to use the other cleaners regularly and use registry mechanic about fortnightly. Cost me AUD44 but seems to be pretty good.
