convert .flv to .wmv

Is there a way to convert .flv to .wmv using the new VLC media player???

 

Try this

Go to Media > Convert/Save > Choose the input file and then click the down arrow and choose Convert > Copy and past this under Generated steam output string

:sout=#transcode{vcodec=WMV1,vb=650,scale=1,acodec=mp3,ab=128,channels=2}

Then select both Play locally and File at the top. File is the output file so name this video.wmv

 

where do i find GENERATED STREAM OUTFIT STRING?

 

after the Convert option form the down arrow it should be on the bottom.
