I'm guessing not, but are there any programs out there that can easily convert a framed website to non-framed?

The most common use of frames-- back when they were popular-- was a menu or directory in one frame whose links targeted another, larger frame. Backwards compatibility with non-frame-supporting browsers necessitated the noframes tag, and a bunch of extra coding which basically amounted to a second website with the same content sans frames-- a real PITA. Getting rid of frames on your site is going to require a bit of coding-- not necessarily difficult, but tedious until you get your new scheme in place across all existing documents. I can't think of a way to automate this task via software. Once done, however, there are simple javascript techniques to place menu or directory-type content in a single .js file containing a list of document.write statements, followed by placing a script construct calling it in each webpage document you wish it to appear. Later, when you add a new page to your site, a single entry can be added to the .js file, and the new page's link will then appear on all pages.

Heh... Doug, while I appreciate your wealth of information, a "yes" or "no" would've bene fine. I know about building non-framed websites. :)

    Thanks, though... ;)
