Does anybody know if visual basic dotnet has an equivalent to the CreateObject command in VB6?? I use CreateObject extensively in a program that I'm trying to convert from vb6 to dotnet. I need the dynamic capability of CreateObject, something that I can create an instance of a class dynamically depending on certain program instances, and in some cases based on user input.

Since CreateObject accepts a string name, it is perfect for my requirements, but I can't find anything in dotnet, and it looks like the CreateObject command has been completely removed.

    HELP!!! Thanks in advance.
