I got The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion last Tuesday and because of how demanding it is to my computer's resources, it's been running warmer than usual...

    Temperatures:
    Motherboard 40 °C (104 °F)
    CPU 39 °C (102 °F)
    WDC WD800JD-00LUA0 40 °C (104 °F)

    Cooling Fans:
    CPU 3924 RPM

    My Specs:
Sapphire 9800 SE (softmodded to PRO)
    1024 MB DDR RAM
    AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1.81 Ghz
    2 80 MM fans (1 side, 1 top)

Anyone see anything wrong with this?

    No. Its fine.

Today's motherboards are running hotter and hotter, to the point they get hotter than the CPU half the time. I'm curious to know if you have an Asus motherboard using heatpipes and radiators for cooling.

Naw, I have an ePox motherboard and a Aspire case (I know... I know...)

I wouldn't worry about it if those temperatures are under load :)

I think their fine too. I have my CPU hitting 60-62C but after halting the game it drops to ~45-50C. I have a prescott and have found that these temps are pretty normal for this CPU. One thing I always do when playing offline is to disable my AV, Firewall and Spyware apps freeing up system resources and slightly lessening the load on the CPU.

Here is an excellent refrence for your CPU temps from "ACE256":

    http://users.erols.com/chare/elec.htm

    Athlon 64
    (1.8GHz) 1.4V
    (?V~?V) ?V 45.6A 66W 70° C
    Athlon 64
    (1.8GHz - rev. CG) 1.3V
    (?V~?V) ?V 36.8A 50W 70° C

Where: 70C is max case temp.

I would be very happy with your temps!!!!!
