Couple of newbie graphic card questions?

    i want to update my graphics card because some of the games i use to play, sense they updated their games my computer no longer has the system requirements.

    1.how do i find out what graphics card i have
    2.how do i know which graphics cards are compatable with my pc?
    3.is video card and graphics card the same thing?
