I am trying to mnitor my CPU temps with a good program. I have tried "Core Temp 0.99" and "Real Temp 2.60". When I open them both and run a stress test "Real Temp 2.60" has the temps 10c cooler than Core temp? Everything I have tried even playing CoD4 for about a half hour and always checking my temps the one is always 10c cooler? Which one is right? Which one is better?

The best way to find out for sure, would be check the temp in one of the programs, then reboot and go into the BIOS as fast as possible and compare the hardware monitor (also called PC health; it depends on the BIOS) temps vs. the program's temps. Personally, I like HWMonitor, OCCT, and PCWizard (which is good for all sorts of great PC info). Here's some links:

I have found each of these to be very accurate, and they're always really close when I run them together so I know they're working right; I have compared them against the BIOS and again, they were close (but you have to shut down and reboot and it's only natural that the temps would be a bit different). Lots of folks also like SpeedFan, but I personally don't care for it (just my opinion :innocent) http://www.majorgeeks.com/download337.html

    I hope this helps!
