Cpu Usage At 100% At All Times Please Help!

I have a dell laptop, owned for about 2 years. And lately my CPU usage has sat at 100% and my laptop overheats in like 10 minutes. I have tried some anti-spyware but its not finding any solutions. Anyone have any ideas? I ran the malware program suggested and still nothing has been removed to help my problem.

When you look at the Task Manager (cntl alt del), does it show which program is hogging all the CPU? With regard to the overheating, have you made sure all the areas of airflow are clear of dust?

Yeah, no program is SHOWING to be taking up too much memory. So I don't know where to start looking. And I have my laptop propped up and I blow the dust out of my fans like once a month.

I think it would be a good idea to go to the Hardware Forum and deal with the overheating problem first, before you cause damage to your computer. Laptops have problems with overheating and there are things that you can do about them, so before you start working through the malware removal instructions, it would make sense to start a thread in Hardware and get some diagnostic help there first.

Yeah, just an update I'm not sure if it malware at all anymore. My right back fan is actually totally out which could probably be the reason for the drop in PC preformance.
