Create a shortcut or a Button

Hi!

I want to create a shortcut / a button to bring up the "properties" window on Win XP.
I know, Its simpler to open the drive, right click on the empty space & then pick properties, but I want to know if one can create such a shortcut or a button & how

Hi ultimo. What I did was to go to control panel, right click display, click create shortcut, click on create in desktop, and you'll have your icon .

Am sorry, I was not clear on my query.
I want to create a shortcut for properties of a memory card.

 

It is not clear from your post Which Properties you want.
The Properties dialog presented is dependent on which item has been selected.
It sounds like you are trying to access the properties of a Drive - just right click on that drive letter.

I don't know of a way to create a shortcut for the Properties of a drive.

The solution provided by Coffee Guy creates a shortcut for the Display properties.

 

Yes, I need a shortcut to look up the drive properties.

I have several subfolders & to check the available diskspace on that partition, I have to go to the root of that drive, then look up the properties.

I use a lot of quicklaunch & I would love to have a button / a shortcut put there, which when clicked opens a drive's properties, Please help me, I know about the old school way of looking that info up & I am already using that, so.... Thanks in Advance
