Darnit, where did my systray go?

After reformatting and reinstalling, my system tray is gone. Hmm... I try to hit customize in properties but that section is grayed out

 

So, in other words, you right clicked on the task bar, then properties, and you find that "show quick launch" is hidden?

 

No, the system tray (in the lower right corner near the clock.)

 

Sorry, for some reason I get those switched.

So, if the systray is gone, then the clock is gone also. Correct?

Check the "Show taskbar notification icons" option and restart the computer.
