Data dvd listing

I have just spent a fruitless hour trying to find a piece of software that will list the content of a backup dvd and export the list in a txt file..
Or export the disc content straight to a label for the dvd.
tried quite a few cd listing programs but none seem to do data/dvd

any help appreciated

Ps backing up a load of data files and I aint that good at tiypinn...

 

Have you tried using your DOS commands from a command prompt?

<Drive Letter>tree /f > c:\listing.txt

No joy ,cant get it to stay on dvd drive letter (cd f:\) keeps going to root of C:

That's ok.

Example Known: DVD drive letter is E.
==============
<C:\> E: enter
<E:\>tree /F > c:\listing.txt enter

 

great got that working
is there a way of only listing files and folders in the root of dvd drive and not all the subdirectories?

Use your windows help file and look up the Dir command.
