Data recovery recommendation

I would like to recover old pictures and movies from a CD. Can anyone recommend software to do this? I tried Recuva from Piriform, but the DVD drive is greyed out, so it doesn't appear it supports this.

 

Try CD Recovery Toolbox. It was made specifically for recovering data from damaged/corrupted CDs/DVDs and it's freeware.

I use Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery, i have the pro version but it is not free.

You can download the standard version and scan your CD it will show you what is has found but in the test version it will not let you "save",you can then decide if it is worth buying.

For me, I use Asoftech Photo Recovery. Last time I used the program to recover lost photos from my micro SD card. I didn't know whether it works for your CD though.
