I have d/l some midi files to d/d and then converted those songs to wave files, on the instructions I have is said. "The converted wave file will be located in the original location as the original midi file". I am assuring that means those files remain in d/drive and then have become wave files.

My question after that is: can the wave files then be copied to a cd? I have dbpowerampconverter and I am not sure how to get the songs/files to my burnrite cd-writer.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Thanks!!

Yes, they can. You can burn the WAV files as an audio CD using Windows Media Player 9 (select copy to CD or Device). CD Burner XP Pro http://majorgeeks.com/CDBurnerXP_d4242.html is a good burning package if your drive did not come with a software package.

Thanks, I also have Real Player installed which is what I am using at this time, it appears that I may be able to use their cd burner, at least I will try.

    Again thanks!! :)

Have another question. I converted some of my midis with the dcpowerampcomverter to wave, and to see it I could burn them on real player I got this msg:

Unsupported Media Type The file cannot be converted into the target format. This would occur if RealPlayer did not have the plug-in required to convert the file into raw audio, which is required for an Audio CD.

I sent an email to real player but doubt if they will answer. My other question when I bring up the coverter to convert to wave, would you use that page to place any info, I am thinking that if the sample I had on using it, which stated:

The converted wave file will be located in the orginal location as the original midi file.

means to me that I have them placed in my d/drive and the conversion would remain there, would that be correct? If not how would I do the conversion.

    Thanks!!

By default, dBPoweramp will save the converted file (the WAV file in your case) to the same place as the original file (the MIDI file), which I take to be your D:/ drive. Be sure you are not accidentally using the MIDI by mistake instead of the WAV file. Realplayer should be able to process WAV files. You could try WMP or an alternate program to burn the CD instead until Real gets back to you.

Thanks, here is the reply to my question from Real Player:

    Question
How do I fix an Unsupported Media Type error in RealPlayer 10.5?
    Answer
You may get an "Unsupported Media Type" error if you transfer music to your Apple iPod device before opening the RealPlayer Burn/Transfer tab. You may also get this error when transferring RealPlayer Music Store content to a Harmony device.

To fix this error with your iPod, uninstall RealPlayer, delete the hidden iSCInfo2 folder, and then reinstall it. For all other devices, delete the RealPlayer optimized files and renew your RealPlayer Music Store Digital Rights Management (DRM) license.

    For an Apple iPod device:

    1. Open the My Computer icon on your desktop or in the Start button menu.
    2. Click Tools > Folder Options > View.
    3. Select Show hidden files and folders.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Uninstall RealPlayer.
    6. Open My Computer again and double-click your Apple iPod drive (often found in the E: or F: drive).
    7. Open the iPod_Control and then the iTunes folder.
    8. Right-click the iSCInfo2 file and choose Delete. Click Yes or OK.
    9. Reinstall RealPlayer from www.real.com/harmony.
    10. Before you attempt to transfer to the iPod again, view the iPod through the RealPlayer Burn/Transfer tab.

Note: Any iTunes Music Store content must be re-transferred from iTunes to the iPod before it can be played on the iPod.

    For all other devices:

To delete the RealPlayer Optimized files:

    1. From the RealPlayer Tools menu, select Preferences.
    2. From the Category pane, click Devices.
    3. Click the Advanced Settings button.
    4. Click the Delete Optimized Files button.
    5. Click OK.

To renew your RealPlayer Music Store DRM license:

    1. Make sure you are connected to the Internet, and then click this RAM file to revoke the DRM license.
    2. Transfer the Music Store content to your device again. RealPlayer automatically renews your DRM license during this process.

Once you have completed these steps, the Music Store content should transfer to your device without issue. Please see Why do I get an 'Unsupported Media Type' error when I transfer a Music Store file? if you still receive the error
    .

Also when I bring up the dmp auxilary to record, do I use the track ie, 1,2etc. Haven't been able to figure out what to do with it.

Sorry to be a pest, just learning how to try and copy/burn cd's Also do not understand the "ipod/apple pod".
