I have a new Compaq R4000 notebook. Car adapter is like $95.00. The universal type adapters do not have a plug that fits this computer.

Is it OK to use a DC to AC inverter as long as the wattage output is more that the 120 watts shown on the power supply box? These seem to be available on ebay much cheaper. Any chance of harming my computer?

    I will appreciate your help.
