Degredation Of Processing/sound/video

Videos have been stalling on firefox for awhile now, but it wasn't as much of a problem after running CCleaner (did little) and moving most of my tabs to Pale Moon browser. Still an evident problem though. Runs a little better on bare-bones IE.

Today, though, I'd been playing Europa Univeralis 3. The game has a tendency to crash periodicly for everyone. After loading it back up though, my computer has been effected by a general degredation of processing speed, video and sound. They cut out and have an echo.

System restore failed on account of registry copy failure and unknown reason.
Currently running superantispyware/malwarebytes though I haven't opened any, at least, any strange executables....

Several restarts fixed the sound, though I'd appreciate suggestions related to my loading videos causing temporary freezing.
