deleted recycle bin. D'oh!

Can anyone help me please? I have stupidly deleted the recycle bin off my desktop. If I delete something it says it's sending it to the recycle bin but where is it? Is there a way to put it back onto the desktop?

i assume its xp,

is it just your recycle bin or have all your icons 'gone'

try this,

right click on your desktop
choose 'arrange icons by'
tick 'show desktop icons'

or - if your system supports it

click start then run
type gpedit.msc in the box that opens, press enter
click on the + (plus) next to user configuration
click on the + (plus) next to administative templates
click on desktop to highlight

in the right hand pane you will find the option to remove your recycle bin

double click on the entry to show the options
use the 'explain' tab to give more details about each option

 

No my PC runs Vista Home Premium.

Tried the right clicking selecting auto arrange etc but this doesnt work.

It's just the recycle bin. I right clicked on it and instead of clicking 'empty recycle bin' I clicked onto 'delete' by mistake.

 

Try this in Control Panel:

Click to open Personalization.

In the left pane, click Change desktop icons, and then:

To display the Recycle Bin on the desktop, select the Recycle Bin check box.
