Deleting unknown programs

I ran my virus scan today, and it came up with 2 unknown programs I've never heard of. Said they can't be cleaned. Should I delete them.....and how do I do this. I have a Compac Presario with Windows 98. The programs are called Adware-NetPals and Dialer-gen.

Sounds like you've got some spyware on your system, here's some good info for you:

Running Ad-aware and Spybot S&D (both with latest updates) is a must. If you're still having problems after reading that thread and running those programs we may need to have a look at your HijackThis log file.

Also make sure your antivirus is updated to the latest definitions.
