Dell Docking Station Issues...

I have a Dell D600, and the D-Series Docking Station... and it works fine. I was issued a new Laptop, a Dell D630... and tried using it in the Docking Station.

Our company uses a Bios Password Screen, and no matter what I try with the D630 Laptop... I get no response from the keyboard or mouse or anything at this screen. It works fine out of the Docking Station...

My IT Department tells me it "might" be because I have a PS2 Keyboard and Mouse plugged into the Docking Station, and the D630 only has USB ports on it? Does that sound right??
