Dell Inspiron 3800 and Windows Xp

    I have a Dell 3800 inspiron which had windows 2000 on it. I got this brainstorm, bought windows xp and loaded it on this computer. My error message is no C drive detected. Ok, I pull the hard drive put it in my dell inspiron 1100 and guess what? It works. Do I need to scratch the idea of updating this Dell 3800? Thank you..
