dell vostro 1700

    i have a refurbished dell vostro 1700 xp pro,last night i used cc cleaner and it messed up my computer,I can no longer sign in on the start up menu -ie,log in screen,will not accept my password or log in name -my warrenty i see is out---what options,do i have to get back my compter?

    A couple of ways are available.
    If you chose the backup option when running ccleaner, go to the backup created and right click and choose merge. (The file should have a .reg extension and be located in "My Documents".)
    Or you could use System Restore.
