dell wont boot up

i tryed to install a new xp but it always freezes up during loading??

yes ,all of a sudden when i turn the pc on i get a black screen with boot modes..safe ect...and mode i pick just brings me back to the same page except for safe mode it loades with all the writing on the screen then goes no further.

 

What is your system's specifications ? Do you have had any update , maybe graphics driver before that ? :wave

 

no updates needed...i just dont get why xp disks load for 2 min then pc freezes.

 

it said last shutdown due to thermal event.

You would like to remove cmos battery firstly , even you could remove thermal paste with a new one

in 19 page there is a cmos battery you can remove this for approximately 1 minute :wave

 

Do i remove it then rei-nstall it or get a new one?
