DEP is preventing Adobe download

Hi,

DEP will not allow the download of Adobe Flashplayer. I need this to view the Radio Reference pages for scanner frequencies. Help!

I am assuming you are trying to download with Internet Explorer and Windows 7. Xp will be similar. You want to turn protected mode off. You want to turn it off in internet zone only. Turn it back on after the download and install.

Just be sure you are downloading flash from a legitimate site.

 

Thanks for the response. Yes, I am using XP. I tried the linK you supplied, followed the directions but still no go. I installed google chrome which has flash built in. Works like charm. Thanks again for trying to help.

If you need Flash Player for Internet Explorer or Firefox, you can try the MSI installers from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html

Can be turned on by right clicking MY Computer>Properties>Advanced>Performance Settings>Data Execution Protection. Check box for DEP on essential Windows programs and services or All programs and services.
