desktop still hijacked!!!

    i've had the whole spysheriff and desktop hijack problem. i've done all the steps in all the other threads and yet, my desktop is still hijacked. i got rid of the message and everything, but i can only change the desktop background color. i got to this step before and was gonna just let it go, but yesterday spysheriff found it's way back on my comp when i turned it on. i'd like to get rid of this problem if possible. please help... i think i'm gonna go crazy.

    p.s. i have my hijackthis log if you need it.

    yes i have. and i still have the hijacked desktop. here's my log fron hjt.

    It does not appear to me that you have run ALL the steps in the READ ME FIRST sticky. However you log shows no real problems related to this desktop hijacker.

    Are you sure you did the registry patch?

    Also do the below:

    Fixing Locked Desktop
    Also you should right click on your Desktop and select Properties. Then click the Desktop tab and then the Customize Desktop button. Now in the next window that comes up click the Web tab. Make sure at the bottom that Lock desktop items is unchecked. Then in the Web pages: box delete all items but My Current Home Page and make sure it is unchecked too. Then click OK. Apply. OK.
