Destination Host Unreachable

Hi,

I have frequent internet connection lately after buying a new wireless router after the old one got broken.. I tried pinging the google to know whether i am still connected or losing my internet..

After few minutes there will be a Request Timeout followed by Reply from (My WAN IP) : Destination Host Unreachable

Lets take it in a few steps. Try pinging your gateway 192.168.1.1 to see if we get errors. If not, then ping your DNS servers (124.106.6.2 & 124.106.4.2). Then try pinging 108.175.7.71. What are your results?

 

192.168.1.1 is responding

124.106.6.2 & 124.106.4.2 : Request Time out


108.175.7.71 responding.

 

Wifi router settings is on default.. I think i should not have any problems in configuration.. I dont have any problem with my old wifi router in terms of distance problems or connectivity issues..

This WiFi router is still on warranty, Is it possible that it could be defective?

Additional Info... My cousin using a laptop is also losing internet connection from time to time, same time when I lost mine



Comodo Firewall, but it is turned off.. There is a firewall configuration enabled under security tab on my wifi router settings..
IPv6 SPI Firewall Protection and IPv4 SPI Firewall Protection I already tried disabling those... No luck.

 

Hi thank you again for the replies.

Few hours ago I am not able to browse website using my browser, but I am able to ping websites.. I used the IE Network diagnostic tool and this is what i got.. (See attached File)

After reading somewhere that a firewall was causing this I immediately uninstall Comodo Firewall although it is not turned on, after that a restart I finally got my internet back..


As for the Destination Host Unreachable problem, I hope it is just because of my firewall.

I will be observing again.

HI, I still have Destination Host Unreachable.

I already removed my firewall.

My cousin tried connecting directly from modem using cable and it's no luck. we already tried two modems.

Can it possibly be the problem?

I will try to contact our ISP..

 

Still no luck im still having a destination host unreachable.

Could it be a defective wireless router? Im using Linksys E900.

I already did a full scan using Avast and Malwarebytes PRO and im not picking up anything.

Everything is on default as far as I know. Or can somebody give me some troubleshooting tips.

You said that you still get the problem when directly connected to the modem, so it can not be the router.

 

Hi thanks for the replies, I already called our ISP and it's a known issue within our area.
