device manager wont work properly

    Well a few minutes ago i went to the device mangager to check something with my audio then the thing came up its just where its sappose to show all the info, its just white, theres basically no info what so ever to click on. All i see is file, action, view, help, the 2 arrows, the show and hide icon, help icon, and device manager at the top

    Check to see if Plug and Play is enabled within services.

    Click START, then RUN, then type in: services.msc (press enter).

    Now, scroll down to "Plug and Play" Is this Service started?

    If not, start it. Does device manager show the correct content?

    Also, make sure that "Plug and Play" is set for AutoMatic under "Startup Type".

    "Plug and Play" was disabled

    It shows everthing now, thanks

    but i still have the audio problem, and it seems to be worse then i thought, the printer doesnt work either, i dont know how this happend

    in the service thing i saw something that said printer spooler or something like that so i enabled it and now the printer works again but the sound still doesnt work and i dont know what to do

    What Sound Card you have ?
    Is the drivers installed fine or in the device manager does it come up with Question Mark or an Exclamation Mark ?

    Make sure:

    Windows Audio service is running.

    Print Spooler is running.

    Check the same way you did Plug and Play.

    is it the one that says legacy audio drivers? if its that then it says "This device is working properly." if not then i dont know

    and where it says device usage, its blank and tan faded

    Did you download and run the program? If so, it won't be hard to find; just scan over the results of the audit of your system. It will tell you your soundcard type or if it's on-board sound.
