Make a restore point before install just to be safe ???

 

You can use Windows Backup to do most of what System Restore does. Go Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools. Click the Wizard button, and choose to backup the System State. That doesn't backup Documents and Settings, but it does backup most of Windows's files.

 

GoBack does work great. It has saved my butt many many times. I've been using it for years & it has never caused a problem & always fixes me up when things go wrong. Bad installs, accidental file deletions, even viruses......all gone with reverting back to a point before the mistake was made. It works in the background ( without any noticable performance hit ) making a complete image of you activities on your computer. Make a mistake? Just go back. Wahlah all good. I personally feel it's the best piece of software ever made.
